ALL-RUSSIAN DAY OF RUNNING – RACE OF THE NATION

The All-Russian Day of Running is celebrated in St. Petersburg, as well as throughout the country, on the third Saturday of September. In 2020, the Race of the Nation took place on the 19th of September. The participants of the race were traditionally greeted on the Palace Square by the representatives of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, as well as by the renowned St. Petersburg athletes - Olympic champions of different years. The race started exactly at noon, right after the traditional cannon shot from the Peter and Paul Fortress. The route was 5 kilometers and passed through the historical center of the city past the Admiralty, the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island, the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Marble Palace and the Field of Mars. Anyone over the age of 18 can participate in the race for free. You just need to get a health certificate and register on the official website.
