NEW PROJECT OF THE MUSEUM OF COSMONAUTICS

Russian News Agency TASS and its educational project Newm together with the Museum of Cosmonautics of Moscow have launched a new project - a series of videos dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space. The first of the three stories introduces viewers to the process of rocketing the Vostok launch vehicle and placing the spacecraft in orbit. There are lots of materials relating to the first flight into space: stills of photo and video chronicles, audio recordings from the launch pad, stories of eyewitnesses and participants of the events; the Vostok apparatus and the SK-1 spacesuit, thanks to which Yuri Gagarin conquered space. For the most accurate creation of 3D models in the Museum of Cosmonautics detailed video filming of the exhibits was made. Some of them can be seen at the special exhibition of the museum.
