SUMMER AT THE HERMITAGE GENERAL HEADQUARTERS

MUSEUMS BEGIN TO REOPEN

Russian Federal Air Transport Agency announces that coronavirus-related international flight restrictions have been extended again. Until the 1st of August country’s borders will remain closed for the foreign tourists. Nevertheless, museums and exhibition halls gradually begin to reopen. The Moscow Museum of Modern Art, «Garage», the Multimedia Art Museum, the Moscow Museum and some other museums have already started receiving visitors. Since the 16th of June, museum open areas and parks are also available. In St. Petersburg, museum life will begin from the 6th of July - the Peter and Paul Fortress will be the first one to open. Other regions are not far behind, gradually lifting restrictions. The precautions that will remain obligatory are temperature control at the entrance, wearing masks and gloves and social distancing. Besides, the simultaneous number of visitors will be restricted according to the size of the museum.
