From August 19th to 28th, a Festival of Historical Gardens will be held in Tsaritsino estate. Five years ago, the museum-reserve invited landscape architects and designers to its park for the first time, who created an exhibition of park miniatures from different countries and eras. This year, a new bright holiday dedicated to gardens, flowers, art and creativity awaits guests and residents of Moscow.
The theme of this year's festival is "Graceful Gardening". That was the name of the main garden bestseller of the late 19th century, the book of the famous Russian dendrologist and gardener Arnold Regel. The main event of the Historic Gardens Festival is an open-air landscape exhibition. This year, the exhibits will be gardens and compositions created by talented Russian designers. All ten days of the festival, visitors will enjoy a rich cultural program, concerts, lectures, master classes, excursions and much more. In addition, several important museum projects will be held as part of the festival. For example, August 20th is Houseplant Day, and August 27th is Ceramics Day.
