The long-awaited event for residents and guests of the city - the beginning of navigation in St. Petersburg! This year navigation will start on the 27th of April. It means that from the 27th of April it will be possible to enjoy excursions along the rivers and canals of the city again.

MIR Travel Company will tell you where and how to get there! The excursion is called the Golden Ring of Russia and passes through several Old Russian cities. The route itself was developed in 1967 with the inclusion of 8 cities: Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov the Great, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Suzdal and Vladimir. 

2-day programs. Northern capital


Day 1. the panoramic tour of the city, the cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Cathedral of San Isaak or Cathedral on the Spilled Blood, the Hermitage, a boat trip along the St. Petersburg rivers and canals.

Day 2. Peterhof (The Grand Palace and the Lower Park), Pushkin (the Amber Room).

Meeting with your local guide in the hall of the St. Petersburg port terminal.

Departure for the panoramic tour of the city during which you will see the perspective of Nevsky Avenue, the Fine Arts Square, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the Mariinsky Theater. We will also visit the cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan. Then we will go to the Peter and Paul Fortress considered to be the historic center of the city, and we will enter the first cathedral of St. Petersburg - one of St. Peter and St. Paul. Then we will enter the Cathedral of San Isaak or Cathedral on the Spilled Blood (to choose!).

Free time for lunch.

In the afternoon we will visit the Hermitage, the largest museum in Russia and one of the most important and well-known in the world. The museum collections originated by the Empress Catherine the Great in 1764 today contain more than 3 million exhibits dating from prehistoric to modern times and are exhibited in 400 rooms. Its real jewels are paintings of Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Rembrandt, P.P. Rubens, A. Van Dyck, El Greco...

Then we take a boat trip along the St. Petersburg rivers and canals. The granite-clad river banks with the stairs that go down to the water, the bridges that link the sides of the river are inseparable part of the architecture of the city. During this trip one gets an amazing impression of a different vision of St. Petersburg called the Venice of the North.

Return to the port.

Today we go to one of the most beautiful summer residences of the Russian Emperors - Peterhof.  The Peterhof or Petrodvorets ensemble is a city of parks, palaces and fountains, founded in the early 18th century by Peter the Great to commemorate the glory of Russia. The excursion includes visit to the Grand Palace and walk through the Lower Park.

Free time for lunch.

Then we go to Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo), another fascinating monument of architecture and gardening. The combination of gold, sky blue walls, snowy columns and a silver ceiling create an impressive effect. The jewel of the palace - the Amber Room - is known as the eighth wonder of the world. The romantic alleys around the Catherine Palace invite for a walk to see pavilions and ponds of the favorite park of the Russian Emperors. Return to the port.

NB The order of the visits is subject to changing according to the museum work hours.
