THE ALL-RUSSIAN CULTURAL WEEKEND

The Cultural Weekend event timed to coincide with the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia and International Women's Day, was held throughout the country from the 6th to the 8th of March. Thematic events were prepared by philharmonic societies, concert organizations, circuses and cinema halls.Each day was devoted to a separate topic. The events on the 6th of March were held under the motto Spring Way!, those of the 7th of March, united by the theme Heritage for All, were timed to coincide with the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. On this day, everyone could get acquainted with wide variety of the cultural heritage of the peoples of the country. The theme of the third day of the action was To the Beloved Ones. Cultural institutions invited visitors to celebrate the 8th of March - International Women’s Day. Entrance to the Museum of Victory on Poklonnaya Hill was free for all women. In addition, in honor of International Women's Day, the museum has prepared a large festive program. Visitors became participants in free thematic tours, concerts, master classes and film screenings. Also, 20 circuses across the country hosted free performances for large families as part of the Happy Mom campaign.
