INTERNATIONAL TOURISM DAY

27 September 2021

St. Petersburg as well as the rest of the world celebrates the International Tourism Day this week. A water carnival timed to coincide with the holiday took place on Saturday. SUP-festival participants - stand-up paddlers - swam along the Moika River and the canals of the center of the Northern Capital of Russia. The residents and the guests of the city could see the musketeer, the pink rabbit, Mickey Mouse and other unusual characters on the stand-up boards. Even rain and cloudy weather could not interfere with the festival. The city also hosted a parade of yachts and a performance of aquabikers with a spectacular show of multi-colored smoke on the Neva River near the Hermitage Museum. Modern sailing yachts and boats, as well as the 109-year-old schooner "Nadezhda" and the century-old sailing ship "Lucullus" passed under the opened bridges. A street of culinary embassies opened near the arch of the General Staff Building. Here, everyone can taste the cuisine of different countries, such as Korea, Mexico, Georgia, Colombia, Czech Republic and others.

The team of MIR Travel Company congratulates everyone on the International Tourism Day and hopes that soon the world will be open for travel again!
