RUSSIA RESUMES FLIGHTS WITH TWO MORE COUNTRIES

This Monday, February 15, Russia officially opened borders and relaunched flights with two more countries - Azerbaijan and Armenia - previously extremely popular destinations among Russian tourists. Aeroflot - the flag carrier and largest airline of the Russian Federation immediately announced its plans to resume flights to these countries. Moscow-Yerevan flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Return flights will scheduled on Mondays and Sundays, and two more flights on Thursdays. Flights from Moscow to Baku will start operating from February 17 on Wednesdays and Sundays, return flights - on Mondays and Thursdays.

Both countries are very popular touristic destinations due to beautiful nature, rich historical heritage and authentic cuisine. In Azerbaijan the main places of interest are: it’s capital Baku, the Gobustan national park-reserve with mud volcanoes, the ancient city of Shemakha and many more. Armenia is also known for its historical sights, tourists from all over the world visit the capital of the country Yerevan, Lake Sevan and ancient churches. In addition, the country is famous for numerous SPA resorts with mineral water and the Armenian cognac. Both countries are also extremely popular as food tourism destinations.
