SIBERIAN FIRE FESTIVAL IN NOVOSIBIRSK

16 August 2021

The Siberian Fire Festival was held in Novosibirsk. On 14 August, near Novosibirsk, shots and grenades could be heard - the annual festival of historical reconstruction "Siberian Fire" took place in the city. This year, the military history festival was held at a new site. The possibilities of the new festival site are much wider. There is a lot of space for field camps and performances. And next year, in 2022, the organizers will present the 10th anniversary festival Siberian Fire.

The first Siberian Fire was held in 2012, 240 reenactors from 17 cities of Siberia took part in it, the event was attended by more than 6 thousand spectators. This is the largest historical reconstruction event beyond the Urals.

This year, due to the coronavirus, the festival was held in a closed format - without tens of thousands of spectators. But this year the legendary T-34 tank, a real combat vehicle of the times of the Great Patriotic War, took part in the reconstruction for the first time. Traditionally, the festival attracts thousands of spectators, but this year, due to the coronavirus, spectators weren't allowed to the festival, only participants attended the event. But, as before, the festival brought together participants from all over Russia: from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Khabarovsk and Vladivostok.
