05 July 2021
Since July the borders of the Baltic States have been opened for residents of the European Union. Travelers from the EU and Schengen countries who fulfill at least one of the following conditions will be able to visit the Baltic States:
• fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (at least 14 days before entry)
• or recovered from Covid-19 and vaccinated once (at least one week before entry)
• or recovered from Covid-19 within the last 6 months
The Baltic States are Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. These countries are very different despite the fact that they are very closely located. These countries are famous for their virgin nature, amber, and medieval towns. In Tallinn one can go on a stroll around perfectly preserved historical center - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the mysterious atmosphere of the Middle Ages still reigns, while in Riga one can enjoy the charm of the dainty houses of the Old Town and the art nouveau grandeur of the historic centre - one of the world’s richest collections of art nouveau buildings in the world. Lithuania’s capital Vilnius can be described as a quirky baroque masterpiece, the city leaves an impression of a young and bohemian place, apart from having one the oldest medieval sites in Europe – the Old Town.
