On 05 November, in the capital of the Urals - Yekaterinburg, the Art Gallery of the Yeltsin Center museum opened an exhibition of works by Kazimir Malevich, Marc Chagall and other representatives of the avant-garde. The exhibition will reproduce the history of the creation of the avant-garde school of art and Suprematism. The exposition will feature more than 80 works of artists, as well as archival photos, documents and unique documentary from the year 1923 with the participation of Malevich. The exhibition features historical footage that captures an exhibition of works in various art-styles in 1923, in which you also see artists themselves, including Malevich. The organization of the exhibition went on for a year, works were brought from ten museums and five private collections - for example, from the Russian Museum of Saint-Petersburg, the Moscow Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the Vyatka Art Museum, etc. The exhibition features quotes from the diaries of Malevich's student Lev Yudin and many unique documentary photographs of Malevich and his students. The exhibition will run till 20 February, 2021.
