"THE GREAT SILK ROAD" TOUR  (UZBEKISTAN-TURKMENISTAN) 

14 DAYS / 13 NIGHTS 

DAY 1 – TASHKENT

Arrival at Tashkent's airport, meet and greet service. Transfer to hotel.

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2 – TASHKENT – SAMARKAND

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Samarkand, accommodation at the hotel.

After short rest evening tour in Samarkand: Registan square - Medreseh Ulughbek (15^th c.), Medreseh Shir-Dor (17^th c.), Medreseh Tilla-Kori (17^th c.). Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 – SAMARKAND

Breakfast at the hotel.

Full day city tour in Samarkand: Bibi Khanum Mosque (18^th c.), Siab bazaar, Architectural complex Shakhi-Zindeh (11-15^th c.), Ulugh Beg Medreseh, Afrasiyab ancient city, holy site of St. Daniel relics, silk facroty.

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4 – SAMARKAND – SHAKHRISABZ – BUKHARA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Drive to Shakhrisabz (2 hrs). City tour: ruins of Ak-Saray Palace (14-15^th c.), Dor-ut Saodat complex (Khazratiy Imam Mosque (14^th c.), Jahongir mausoleum (14^th c.). Continue to Bukhara (3 hrs).

Overnight at the hotel. 

DAY 5 – BUKHARA

Breakfast at the hotel

City tour in Bukhara: Samanides Mausoleum (9-10^th c.), Chashma Ayub(14^th c.), Bolo-Hauz Mosque (beginning of the 20^th c.), Citadel Ark (4^th c. BC), Medreseh Miri Arab (16^th c.), Minaret Kalon (12^th c.), Kalyan Mosque (12^th c.), Ulugh Beg and Abdulaziz khan Medreseh, Medreseh Magoki-Attori, shopping centers (Toki-Zargaron, Toki Telpak Furushon, Toki Sarafon), complex Lyabi-Khauz (14-17^th c.).

Overnight at the hotel. 

DAY 6 – BUKHARA

Breakfast at the hotel.

A trip out of the city for a visit to Bahouddin Nakshbandi mausoleum (16-19^th c.), to the sepulchers of his mother and his preceptor (14^th c.), mausoleum Chor-Bakr (10^th c.), visit to summer residence Sitorai-Mokhi-Hossa (19^th c.). Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7 – BUKHARA – MARY

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Check point “Farap”, border formalities, crossing the neutral territory (800m), meeting with Turkmen partners, continue the drive to Mary (4 hours), settlement at the hotel.

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 8 – MARY - MERV – ASHGABAT

Breakfast at the hotel.

Drive to Bairamaly (25 km). Sightseeing Ancient Merv (Alexandria, Antiochia, Sultan Kala, Abdullah-khan Kala, Bayram-Ali-khan Kala).Continue to mausoleum of the last Seljuk governor – Sajjan sultan, mausoleum of Muhammad-ibn-Zeyd, Askhabs tombs, Maiden castles.

Return to Mary. Visit of the museum where the findings of an ancient country Margush are held.

Transfer to Ashgabat . During the drive visiting to medieval city Abiverd and Gemalledin mosque which was damaged by the earthquake of 1948.

Arrival in Ashgabat. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 9 – ASHGABAT

Breakfast at the hotel. 

Sight seeing in Ashgabat with visiting Independence Square, Ertogrul Gazi mosque, National Museum of History & Ethnography of Turkmenistan & archeological site “Old Nisa”- Parthian period & Spiritual Mosque of Turkmenbashy.  Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 10 – ASHGABAT – DASHOUZ

Breakfast at the hotel.

Dive to Bakharden. Visiting to subterranean lake Kov Ata which keeps it’s temperature to 36ºC during all the year. Visit to Geoktepin mosque.

Return to Ashgabat.  Flight to Dashouz. Accommodation and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 11 – DASHOUZ – KUNYA URGHENCH - KHIVA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Drive to Kunya Urghench. Visit Kunya Urghench historical site: Mausoleums of Turebek-Khanym, Sultan Tekesh, Sultan Il Arslan, Najmad-din-Kubra, Sultan Ali.

Transfer to Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan check point “Shavat”, border formalities, crossing the neutral territory (900m), meeting with Uzbek driver and continue the drive to Khiva.

DAY 12 - KHIVA

Breakfast at the hotel.

City tour including Ota Darvaza madrasah, Kalta Minar minaret, Muhammad Amin Khan madrasah, Kunya-Ark Castle (16-17^th c.), Mohammed Amin Khan madrassah, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum (14-18^th cc.), Ismail Khodja Mausoleum, Juma Mosque (10^th c.), Tash-Hovli Palace (19^th c.).

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 13 - KHIVA – URGHENCH – TASHKENT

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning flight to Tashkent. Accommodation at the hotel

Excursions in Tashkent: Museum of Applied Arts, Khazratiy Imam Mosque (14^th c.), Barak-Khan Madrasah (16^th c.), Kukeldash Madrasah (16^th c.), Chorsu bazaar, Independence Square, Amir Tуmur Square, Navoi Theater square.

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 14 – TASHKENT

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport, flight for the next destination.
