Introduction 
Sailing with Fred. Olsen is like sailing with friends. Genuine and lasting friendships are forged on a Fred Olsen ship, it's just one of the many reasons why so many people find their voyages so engaging and keep on coming back time and again. Brand new to Fred Olsen cruise lines, and named after the world famous Scottish home of the Royal Family, Balmoral,  like her fleet-mates, reflects a stately nature and refined elegance. She sets sail in January 2008, and was originally launched as Crown Odyssey and was purpose built for long range cruising. Although slightly larger than the other Fred Olsen ships Balmoral is compact enough to offer that traditional, homely atmosphere which is so much their trademark.
Balmoral will offer her passengers an impressive range of dining choices from the inviting elegance of the yet-to-be-named main Restaurant to the convenience and informality of the Yacht Club Café, or a snack in the sun at the Marquee Grill Bar.
The public rooms include quiet spaces in which to savour the delights of lazy days at sea - Fred Olsen do not believe in wall-to-wall music, but in your right to choose between entertainment, education or relaxation; all of which you will find in abundance in the Neptune Lounge, Observatory Lounge, Lido Bar, Library, Card Room or at the Spa and Gym.
