Tourist visas are issued in Uzbekistan consulates abroad, the period of visa issuing also does not exceed four work days not counting the day the application is filed.
Foreign citizens are subject to temporary registration on arriving to Uzbekistan in the course of three days excluding holidays and non-business days. Registration is performed in the Internal Affairs Agency for the term of validity of the visa depending on the nature of the trip. If you are travelling and staying in hotels your registration is performed by the hotel. You receive a registration note. The customs service often checks if these are valid for the whole period of your stay in Uzbekistan when you leave the country.
