Moscow

Moscow. The capital of Russia, a third Rome. The largest city of a great country, with 10.5 million inhabitants, lies on the high bank of the River Moskva. Occupying an area of nearly 1,100 square kilometres, it is an indissoluble blend of Russia’s past history and the present. It is not for nothing that it is called golden-domed, for there is no other city in the world with 130 Christian Orthodox churches whose cupolas are covered with real gold.

It is in Moscow where the routes into the remote areas of Russia begin. The famous Golden Ring tour starts here.

The Russian capital is acknowledged by rights as one of the world centres of culture. There are hundreds of museums, dozens of theatres, including the Bolshoi Theatre, concert halls.

Moscow offers big opportunities for tourism and business contacts. The city has become the place to hold international congresses, exhibitions and festivals.

The MIR Travel Company welcomes you to the city where you will get a chance to see and feel the influence of Russian history on a vibrant modern society.
